I Got A Feeling...

I have developed the habit of playing that song first thing in the morning... :-) It revs up my spirit.

And last night was indeed a good night. (most of the day, actually .. I just have to let go of the fact that my boss asked me to come to the office.. grr. I am now just expected to go to work during Thursdays and Fridays)

Good mood :-) Met with two friends yesterday.

Jerick, one of my good friends back in high school, just came back from Saudi Arabia after 10 years (!!!!) of working there. I chanced upon him on Facebook and was so surprised that he was here already. We weren't exactly from 1 barkada, but were in several school activities together - our Australia trip, 2 school plays, and I also remember sharing a "limo" (ok, a van!) to the senior prom! (his date was Jecca, Sam's now-mistah!) We talked about life abroad, friends, family, and the Philippines. He was such a foreigner! I can't wait to meet his wife and kid.

After coffee with Jerick at McCafe (where we were also privileged to see Mr George Yang, the McDonalds magnate) , I took the bus to Megamall. Oh yes, I did. The last time I was at Megamall was when it was still under construction.

At Mega, I met another good friend, this time a blocmate from college. Henry is now working as a store supervisor at Marks and Spencer. He took the job because he wants to study the retail industry so he'll know how to run his own business someday. I so admire his spunk and determination. I think he just needs a little encouragement to keep him on track (sometimes we're really just caught in that paycheck cycle, hehe)

We had a super great time catching up! Next time other old Human Eco guys should join us to keep us from gossiping about them, hehe.

I am loving one of my so-called jobs that's getting me out of my comfort zone, encouraging me to meet with old friends, and equipping me with tools that can potentially help people with their needs. ;-)
